#2

One thing I found interesting about what I have recently read in New Moon is that Bella is still emotionally attached to Edward even though she hangs out with Jacob almost every day and is starting to like him more. When Jacob and Bella hang out they are fixing up these two motor bikes that eventually lead to some trouble. But anyways, I find it kind of entertaining that Bella thinks she is a big rebel for using these bikes without Charlie knowing, but really, she is not that big of a rebel. After she figures out that Jacob is a werewolf, I thought that it was strange that she is so attracted to these guys that are not normal at all since Edward is a vampire and now Jacob is a werewolf. It is also weird that she is attracted to these kind of guys since she has so many accidents and these types of guys aren't helping her with that at all. In the part where she sees Laurent again and he tells her about Victoria, it was at first confusing and then intense because you didn't know if Victoria was going to come hunt down Bella at Charlie's house. It is actually still kind of intense because Jacob tells Bella that Victoria keeps coming and going and Bella tells him that Victoria is looking to kill her. There was so so much that happened in the book lately that it is hard to remember everything, and it is amazing, but definetly not as amazing as Twilight.

I definitely agree with you Emma, WHY is Bella so attracted to all these crazy nonhuman guys? Perhaps she feels confined by her everyday life and being with Jacob and Edward is a way for her to let out her inner "rebel". If you think about it, though, what would she do if she hadn't met Edward? Her life would've been so boring and plain, but now she is living a much more dangerous and exciting life. I agree, that scene with Laurent was so scary! I remember reading it and I was paranoid for WEEKS! I kept thinking Victoria would be around the next corner trying to kill me!
